Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for developing direct and indirect (channel partner) business with new and existing clients.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

New Business Planning & Development

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns and distribution channels that will lead to new sales
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to attract partners
  • Maintain relationship with partners
  • Define strategic goals to improve Concilio Labs' market position
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique value proposition and differentiators in order to create a persuasive approach and pitch to close business
  • Prospect and develop new direct business
  • Provide high-level product demonstrations in person and remotely
  • Attend industry functions, such as trade shows and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

Work with Executive Leadership and Team Members:

  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams
  • Contribute to marketing collateral creation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide solutions to solve clients and partners' business challenges
  • Create and/or customize prospect presentations using available templates and presentations tools
  • Author and negotiate proposals and contracts
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Complete and submit sales and other reports on a timely basis following established guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and current records in the company CRM
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Concilio Labs' product offering (core and new)

About You:

  • B.A. or B.S. required
  • Minimum of 5 years of quota achieving hospitality technology sales experience, preferably software
  • Proven history of success in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Results driven and able to exceed sales quotas
  • Big Data knowledge and or previous experience a plus
  • Well versed selling B2B to C-level executives
  • Experience building a pipeline of ideal customer profiles
  • Able to create leads from your own prospecting efforts through cold calling and emails
  • Possession of strong presentation skills
  • Proficient at uncovering needs, identifying closing barriers and overcoming objections
  • Expertise in applying negotiation skills to a variety of situations
  • Proficient in Account Management and a commitment to excellent customer service
  • High-energy and positive attitude
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Limited travel

Technical Experience:

  • Proficient in Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Expert in Salesforce and Hubspot
